Sekjen Kemhan Letjen TNI Tri Budi Utomo menerima kunjungan Komandan Operasi Khusus Australia (Special Operations Commander Australia/SOCAUST), Mayjen Garth Gould, di kantor Kementerian Pertahanan, pada Senin (8/12).
Pertemuan ini menegaskan komitmen memperkuat hubungan pertahanan Indonesia–Australia. Sekjen menyoroti peran strategis High Level Committee (HLC) pada 17 Oktober 2025 serta menyampaikan apresiasi atas partisipasi Australia dalam latihan bersama Super Garuda Shield 2025 sebagai wujud kolaborasi menjaga stabilitas kawasan.
Pembahasan mencakup Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA), forum dialog, pertukaran personel, program pendidikan dan pelatihan, kerja sama industri pertahanan, serta peluang kolaborasi multilateral. Semangat persahabatan ini diharapkan semakin memperkokoh keamanan dan stabilitas regional.
Secretary General of Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, welcomed the visit of the Australian Special Operations Commander (SOCAUST), Major General Garth Gould, at the Ministry of Defence office in Jakarta on Monday (8 December).
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening Indonesia–Australia defence cooperation. The Secretary General highlighted the strategic significance of the High Level Committee convened on 17 October 2025 and expressed appreciation for Australia’s participation in Super Garuda Shield 2025 as a reflection of joint efforts to uphold regional stability.
Discussions covered the Defence Cooperation Agreement, dialogue forums, personnel exchanges, education and training programmes, defence industry cooperation, and potential multilateral collaborations. The spirit of partnership is expected to further reinforce regional security and stability.
